Layer splitter

Turn a flat-colour image into a solid base silhouette plus one layer per colour, saved as transparent PNGs for Cricut.

Drop an image on the mat or paste one, or use Choose image.
Cutting tips
  • Cut the base from your main colour, then each layer from its own colour, and glue the layers on top of the base. Layers never overlap each other, so their order doesn't matter.
  • Upload every PNG at the same size. Line the corner squares up, group them, then hide the squares (Contour) before cutting.
  • If a thin outline turns into its own colour, merge it into its neighbour or set it to don't cut.
  • For crisper curves, give it the largest image you have. SVGs are drawn at 2000 px.
